How to advantage play & “Beat” Cherry Chance by Aruze

A penny Cherry Chance slot machine. An underrated & low risk advantage machine especially at the lower denominations.

Several years ago Cherry Chance slot machines came out as one of Aruze Gaming’s offerings in their Innovator series of machines. The Innovator machines were a welcome sight on casino floors. They were creative & featured attractive styling that caught the eye of many regular slot players. Most important was that they were fun to play. It’s not surprising to see that many of these machines are still on slot floors after all this time. Over the years Aruze has improved on & further evolved their machines to be some of the most standout slots on the market.

But heaping praise on a type of slot machine & their manufacturer is not why you’ve come to this website. Of course advantage players both new & old alike want to know about machines their can beat to make money from. That is why today I’m going to talk about Aruze’s “Cherry Chance” machines.

Cherry Chance is one of the types of machines to come out of the Innovator series. There are a couple of variations of the machine & they all go by slightly different names but the premise is the same for all. The ones that I am aware of that can be hustled are Cherry Chance Hot Seven, Cherry Chance Royal Wild, Cherry Chance Shining Seven, Cherry Chance Brilliant Seven & Diamond Chance Hip Seven.

Chance featured triggered on a $1 denom Cherry Chance Royal Wild. The small chance bar on the top left is now illuminated.

During normal gameplay a cherry(or diamond) chance symbol on reel 3 triggers the cherry chance feature. When in the feature the chances, hence the name of hitting a winning combination with the top symbol(s) dramatically increases. The chance feature lasts for up to 8 paid games. The bet that triggered the chance feature is locked & you must bet that amount until the feature is complete. Chance cannot be triggered a second time while in the feature.

How do I spot the advantage & beat Cherry Chance?

A flashing Diamond Chance bar indicates an active feature. Someone triggered it & abandoned it after the 1st spin as noted on the top right.

When the chance featured is triggered the chance bar above the reels will illuminate & flash. This is obvious on some models, not so obvious on Hot Seven & Royal Wild where the bar is small & isn’t nearly as bright. The machine is in an advantageous state anytime a machine is left unattended in the chance feature. Play until the feature is over which admittedly sometimes can be a dud if you land a grape symbol which immediately ends the feature. However the investment needed to play is small, especially on the lower denominations.

Machines like Cherry Chance Zebra Seven with “Free Game Version” posted on them CANNOT be taken advantage of.

In addition to the Cherry & Diamond Chance machines listed previously there are several varieties of machines that have the “chance” feature but none of them will present situations that can be taken advantage of. Examples include Cherry Chance Jewel, Leopard & Zebra Seven machines. These will have “free game version” displayed below the reels on the machine themselves & landing a cherry chance symbol will immediately start free games for the player. While not displaying free game version, the same applies to a machine Sapphire Chance as well.

Opportunities on this machine are typically harder to come by. Usually you’ll get them because someone runs out of money or they land the chance feature & hit nothing on the first few spins, then leave confused about what the whole chance thing meant. Nonetheless this machine can pay well so if your casino has them make sure to walk by it every now & then to see if the chance is flashing.
