In a previous post I discussed the factors that could determine how much money you can make if you choose to become an advantage player. One of those factors was discipline. Look I realize that we’re all gamblers at heart & that most of us were playing non-advantage stuff before becoming hustlers.
All of us, some more than others lose focus sometimes at the task at hand & revert to straight gambling. I understand completely. For me this usually happens when I’m having a bad night & I’m trying to get some of my money back. For some of us it’s the allure of a favorite game & others are just action junkies.
Over the course of my time as an advantage slot player I’ve known & met too many hustlers who are action junkies. That’s putting it nicely. Most people would refer to these types as degenerate gamblers or gambling addicts.
What’s disappointing is that they are very good at making money slot hustling. Some I admit, are significantly better at it than me by a wide margin. They know every advantage slot machine & the tricks of the trade but they can’t hang onto the money they make.
A few months ago, a hustler friend of mine who has struggled immensely with this problem pulled out of his pocket a product he bought from Amazon called Gamble Box. While he still sometimes can’t resist the urge to gamble, it has really helped him build up his bankroll. It’s a small safe-like box that comes with a key & has a slit for you to slip bills or tickets inside. The goal of this product is to help protect your winnings & not give it back to the casinos.
What you have to do is leave the key at home or someplace that you won’t have access to until you leave the casino. This will hopefully ensure that gamblers go home with money as opposed to blowing it away & kicking themselves that they should’ve left when they were ahead.
Whether you choose to go into advantage slot playing or decide it’s not for you, the Gamble Box is still something to consider if you have trouble controlling the impulse to keep gambling when you’re ahead. It’s an inexpensive product that could potentially save you a lot of money in the long-term.
