How not to get kicked out of the casino part 2: Get up & move

Camping machines is one of the job requirements if you’re an advantage slot player.

Today I’m briefly discussing camping machines. Now, there’s going to be the desire to try & get as many advantage plays as possible. I understand, more plays equals more chances to make money. But you have to be smart about it & not make it painfully obvious to the casinos that something unnatural is going on.

There are more slot machine hustlers than ever these days & in casinos where there is stiff competition, you’re going to have to hang around nearby at times to “mark your territory” while a customer sweetens the pot on a particular machine. This is a given & expected part of being a hustler. However, some hustlers take things to the extreme by literally never leaving an area. This puts themselves at risk of being escorted out by security & 86’d.

My advice here is to definitely not be like this. Move around, especially if there are other advantage slot machines in the casino. Don’t stay in the same spot hour after hour, day after day eyeballing the same machine, even if it’s the best advantage machine in the joint. For one, it’ll upset the other hustlers that someone is attempting to take ownership of a particular machine(s). That potentially brings problems in & of itself. But second, any half decent casino surveillance will pick up on it eventually & generally this behavior isn’t viewed favorably.

You may have seen these types before. I would call these hustlers both selfish & lazy. They will get away with it for a period of time. But they almost always get figured out & when that happens it could be curtains.
