Should I Avoid Playing With My Casino Player’s Card on Advantage Play Machines?

I heard a fellow slot hustler the other day making an argument against why he doesn’t use a casino player’s card. The case that the hustler made was that the casino will throw you out if they know that you are ONLY playing the advantage machines.

As far as seeing that you are only playing the advantage machines goes yes, player’s cards do have the ability to track which machines you play. Could this be an issue? Extremely unlikely in my opinion. Winning too much? Of course, casinos exist to take money from gamblers long term & not the other way around. Every casino has their threshold for how much they’re willing to allow someone to win before deeming them a liability & will show them the door. But winning too much wasn’t the point the hustler was making. Using the card period on advantage play machines was.

I just don’t see casinos going through the hassle of going after someone because their player’s card showed that they were exclusively playing a particular machine(s). What do they care what machine someone prefers? Many regular gamblers have a favorite machine. Ever go to the same casino & see the same person on the same machine over & over again? Who’s to say that a regular gambler can’t have a favorite game that just happens to also be an advantage machine like Madonna or Cashman Bingo? Are they going to throw them out too? Plus if a casino really did go after someone because they suspect that they may be an advantage player it wouldn’t matter whether or not that person was using a player’s card anyway. Casinos have many tools at their disposal to know what’s going on.

Much of this is speculation. I can only speak from personal experience & I’ve always used a player’s card without having any problems. This includes periods of time when I was playing very strict & only playing AP machines as this hustler warned. At the same time I’m not exactly a huge slot hustler making six figures doing this stuff. In addition my play is spread out over many casinos so at the end of the day I don’t find this theory worth getting paranoid over for the vast majority of you. So keep inserting those cards into the machines without fear and earn those comps & perks that come along with using them. This is especially true if you aren’t a profitable gambler & just advantage play for fun to stretch your bankroll as opposed to actually making a living off of gambling.
